After his studies at the Escolania de Montserrat, the
Conservatorio municipal de Barcelona and the Schola Cantorum de
Basilea (Switzerland) and a long stay in Switzerland and Germany
where he worked as a concertist and as a profesor (Musikhochschule
of Karlsruhe and Conservatorio of Hamburg),he now teaches at the
Real Conservatorio Superior de música of Madrid. He is a
member and a founder of the Banchetto musicale viole-quintet and
accompanist of many musicians in all over Europe.
His recitals took him around Europe and Latin-America:
Festival Oude Muziek, Utrecht, Festival internacional de música
antigua de Barcelona, Música antigua de Úbeda y
Baeza and Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada,
thus the concert-halls of Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Denmark,
Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Estonia and Uruguay. He gave courses
in Spain and abroad: Daroca, Mijas and Gijón (Spain), Evora
(Portugal), Belluno and Urbino (Italy), Dole y Ornans (France),
Niederaltaich (Germany) y Vienna (Austria).
In his discography as a soloist and as a member of
the group Banchetto Musicale (Melisma, Wiesbaden and Arsis, Huesca),
or his colaborations as a accompanist, some of them are released
by EMI, Claves, Harmonia Mundis France, Erato or Archiv-Produktion
(with Victoria de los Ángeles, Teresa Berganza, Kurt Widmer,
Hans-Martin Linde, Christopher Hogwood, Conrad Steinmann, Wieland
Kuijken and many others), reflects his inexhaustible activity.
He was a member of the jury of the Internationaler
Bach-Abel-Wettbewerb für Viola da Gamba de Köthen/Germany
(V 1997 and 2000, X 2006), and the Concurs de música de
cambra Montserrat Alavedra, Terrassa (XI 1996 i 1998).
